Rangers vs. Mariners

While we've been up here in WA we've been to a few baseball games at Safeco Field. We've seen the Texas Rangers up here twice, unfortunately they lost both games...but it was still really fun to go to the ballpark, eat ballpark food and enjoy the atmosphere.
Josh Hamilton shootin the breeze with some fans pregame.
Momma and her buddy at the ol ballgame. We were bummed that we couldn't find Chrissy's Kinsler shirt.
Ian Kinsler, one of our faves...at bat...obviously I took this one...still working on that whole lighting concept.
We were excited to see Yu Darvish on the mound, but he got worked.
We parked by Mac's Smokehouse BBQ and Diner, so we had to get a picture! Good times, we're gonna miss WA.

Buddy got some shades

So we got Mac some sunglasses to wear for fun outdoor activities. We thought maybe he'd tug at them and try to pull them off, but he just chills with 'em like lil buddy cool. I love that Chrissy can get awesome pics of memorable moments like this at Lake Crescent. Good times.

A few things that make me happy...

Thought this was funny...but seriously what a game. It really epitomized our mantra of "keep pounding on that rock."

Timmy is healthy and playing some inspired ball. Hopefully that continues, I just love watching the fellas play this kinda ball. (knock on wood)

Do I really even have to say anything about these two? I'm the luckiest man alive.

Good times y'all.

Mountain Biking

For some time I've wanted to get into mountain biking. I just never seemed to pull the trigger on getting one. I loved riding my bike around all the fun trails as a boy in Washington. (and Texas) So when I kept finding all these neat trails here, I decided now was the time. So happy birthday/father's day to me! I bought a bike...a Trek 3700. It seems pretty nice, and I'm pretty excited about my new hobby. The other day I took it out for a test run on a trail that I found. It was pretty much ridiculous. It was along this high overlook of the Puget Sound, through the woods...and eventually leading to the old site of the Wilkes Observatory. Wilkes was a Naval officer and explorer back in the day. I sat there looking out over the water, and the mountains and just thought to myself how awesome it was. I looked over to my left and there was a dadgum rabbit not five feet away, just looking at me and nibbling on something. Then on the ride back I rode on a trail looking directly out towards Mt. Rainier off in the distance. I almost busted out singing "What a Wonderful World." Lookin forward to some good times.

Mother's Day

I have been so blessed to have an amazing mom who is a great friend and who has done so much for me. I've also been greatly blessed by my grandmothers and mother in law. Today I'm especially grateful for my dear Chrissy. Today is her first Mother's Day as an actual mom. It has been amazing for me to watch her embrace that role and be such a wonderful mommy to our lil Mac. I just love the lil fella so much...and it brings me great joy to know how blessed he is to have his momma. I'm comforted to know how loved he is, and what good hands he's in. She takes such great care of me and Buddy. I'm excited to see her continue to grow and be a great mom. Good times.
