don't mean to cause a ruckus,but...

i've supported him from the very beginning. he was President of the United States during some very trying times and had to make some very difficult decisions. many people greatly dislike him for some of those choices...but i'm not one of 'em...so i just thought i'd throw this out there to show my support and appreciation for W. how could i not love a President who stands next to mack brown and does this?...we'll welcome him back to the great state of Texas with open arms. "this is where the cowboy rides away." good times.

...this killin time

well i took the chrissy herself to the airport this morning...tomorrow will be the first day in eight weeks that we haven't seen each other...so all of a sudden i find myself with a lil extra time on my hands. i sit here at the computer loading songs onto my iPod and wondering what to do with myself for the next week. my tentative list is:
  • lift weights and run
  • watch the spurs
  • look for a job
  • sit around listening to music and chillin
  • watch FRIENDS
i am open to suggestions y'all...in fact i invite them. it's gonna be a long week.

one year home

so yesterday i celebrated having been home from the mish for one year. it seems crazy to think it was three years ago when i started my mission. i can't believe i've already been home a year though. yet the mish does feel so far away. i didn't do anything spectacular to celebrate the day. just spent it with people i appreciate (the fam and the chrissy) and ate some good food. we grilled salmon for lunch and then had some cheesecake with strawberries on top. so delish. i am so grateful for the chance i had to serve as a missionary...for a while it looked like i'd blown that opportunity. but going was one of the best choices i've ever made. i hold priceless the experiences i had, the people i met, and the things i learned. it was an absolute honor to represent the Savior and to be involved in His great work. now then, i thought about what all has happened since coming home and realized that it's not really all that much, but it's been a good year, and it's good to be home in the great state of Texas. good times y'all.

boo-ya

well what a finish! i appreciate the senior class (all time winningest class in the history of texas football) and their efforts while playing football for the university of texas. the ones who really stand out to me are big roy miller, brian orakpo, chris ogbonnaya, and quan cosby...who came up huge in his last game as a longhorn with 14 grabs for 171 yards and two touchdowns...including the game-winner with :16 seconds left. i'm not gonna lie, colt wasn't as sharp as usual...and the kid still threw for 414 yards two TDs and ran for another. i appreciate the victory so much. it was a solid season for us and i already feel good about next year. good times y'all. Hook 'em.

Hook 'em Horns!!!

well today is a big day here in the great state of Texas. tonight my beloved texas longhorns take on the ohio state buckeyes in the fiesta bowl. one should never be disappointed when your team is playing in a bcs bowl game, but expectations are pretty high for the mighty longhorns. hopefully we can come out and make a statement tonight. let this be colt mccoy's heisman 2009 coming out party. good times and hook em horns!
