break time

...so since they took away my internet privileges at work i only get to surf the web on my breaks or lunch...it's been a bummer, but at least i don't end up reading all the depressing news stories about stuff going on in the world. today i came across this article on espn about vince young (a favorite football player of mine) surprising steve mcnair's sons and showing up to take them to their school's "dear dads breakfast." steve mcnair was a mentor to vince young since his childhood, being a sort of father figure that vy didn't have. mcnair was murdered back on the 4th of july...i thought it was pretty classy of vince to show up for those boys. it was a nice lil read on my break and just thought i'd share it. i really enjoy it when i see favorite athletes of mine making headlines for good reasons. like big dave donating 9 million to start up a school for underprivileged youth...just a class act.good times.

That is a good story! It really makes athletes seem more human and just like us when positive normal stories are shared of their day-to-day activities.
