on saturday i took charlie to Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium to see colt mccoy and the Texas longhorns take on central florida. seeing a football game there is amazing. there is so much pageantry and tradition...a truly magical feeling...there is no better place to see a football game. the day started off w/ the national anthem, i always love hearing that, and get a special feeling whenever i hear it...this time it was capped off with flyover from some Air Force t-38s...it was awesome.
as we walked into the stadium we saw jordan shipley warming up...thought maybe he was in for a big day...indeed he was, setting a UT single game record w/ 273 yards receiving. including a beautiful 88 yarder running into the end zone right in front of us. it was righteous.
colt went for over 470 yds...HEIStheMAN.
coach mack brown is a living legend for the Texas football program.
I am so glad you and Charlie could have such a special time together, it is obvious you love him because you gave him the gift that means more than anything (almost) to you:).
Thanks for bringing the game alive with this post, loved the videos. Live sports are one of the best things in life. I really have to go to one of these games...I love all the pageantry! I even got choked up when they came running out of the tunnel, through the smoke....and the national anthem gets me every time.

I really don't think blogger uploads the images with the same quality that they are in iPhoto.
